The Trinidad and Tobago government have introduced the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) examination in 2001, to replace the older Common Entrance exam.
For admission into all public secondary schools, the Ministry of Education Trinidad and Tobago conducted the SEA examination once every year. The SEA is comprised of three papers in the subjects of Creative Writing, Mathematics, and Language Arts, and covers the national curriculum for primary-level education with a focus on Standards Three to Five.
Trinidad SEA Results 2023:
According to the Ministry of Education publishes “SEA Guidelines”, Students who are in Standard Five and age is below 15 are eligible to write the SEA examination.
Every year the Minister of Education used to announce the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) results dates and when it is likely to be delivered to schools for students. On the same day, the authority also published the top students’ names list.
After the official announcement of SEA results, the packages will be available to all primary school principals for collection at their respective Education District Offices. These results are expected to be released in schools from approximately 4 working days from the official release date.
Students/Parents will receive a Student’s Performance Report, Placement Slip, and the SEA Information Booklet containing “Frequently Asked Questions” on SEA. This booklet can also be accessed on the Ministry’s website at

This year a total of twenty thousand students likely to appear in 2023. The SEA Results 2023: Trinidad Online is likely to be published in either at the end of June or 1st week of July 2023.

The precursor to the SEA, the Common Entrance exam, was multiple choice and tested a wider range of subjects. English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science were tested.
